GT1 replaces India with Donington
The FIA GT1 World Championship will climax at Donington Park at the end of September in place of the original finale planned for the Buddh International Circuit in India. The Indian event, scheduled for December, has been cancelled after series boss Stephane Ratel was unable to guarantee the 18-car field he was contracted to provide . In order to maintain the championship at nine rounds, the world championship will now join up with the British GT/Formula 3 meeting at Donington on September 29/30, just one week after the penultimate event at the Nurburgring.
